For organic species, the molecular formula can correspond to several different molecules. Therefore it is important to include the structure of the molecule in all estimations made for organic species.
HSC Benson Estimation
Benson Estimation is an estimation tool for organic species. The module utilizes an easy-to-use 3D user interface which allows the user to create the molecular structure for the species to be estimated. Based on the molecular structure, basic thermodynamic properties (H, S and Cp) can be estimated for gas, liquid, and solid phases by using a group additive method with hundreds of group values. Benson Estimation also allows the user to save these estimates easily to the HSC Database for future use.
